A quality space that transformed family living.

What can you do when you outgrow your property but can’t afford to move? This two-bedroom flat was narrow and dark, and had an awkward layout, with the living area at the front and the kitchen at the back. It just wasn’t working for a growing family of four, but buying a house wasn’t an option.

We paid particular attention to how the family needed to live in the space, and to working within their limited budget. We reconfigured the layout, converting the front reception to a third bedroom, and extending out the back and side, moving all of the living area to the back opening up onto the garden, creating an open, light, calm and inviting space. Not only did everyone get their own room but the quality of the family’s living was transformed.
